The 2012 Meow Match campaign is underway! You’ve heard of 3M. Feline Rescue’s cats have 4M: Meow Match for Medical Miracles! Our anonymous benefactor returns with another $10,000 to match your donations. The Meow Match Medical Miracle Fund will serve all three of Feline Rescue’s programs – Foster, Outreach, and Shelter. Each program’s director will determine when to use the Fund to help.

Feline Rescue will always see fabulous cats with injuries, illnesses, and birth defects. Remember Andy and Elmo? Young fellows found with serious injuries, they both grew up to be healthy guys, thanks to Feline Rescue and our veterinary partners.

Somehow, we’ve always managed to scrape up some dimes and quarters to pay the veterinary bills which easily run into thousands of dollars. We have many generous veterinarian friends, but their cats and other pets need food and care, too. They can’t just help for free! Each time, our program leaders go into emergency mode to find funds. Each time, they worry – what if we can’t?

Our cats agreed with us that we need a better way. We’d like to restore more injured and sick cats to fabulous felinity and with less wear and tear on our program leaders. So, this year’s Meow Match will be divided among our three programs – foster care, outreach, and shelter. Each program leader will be able to use the program’s Medical Miracle budget when an emergency cat needs our help. Each program’s Medical Miracle funds will carry over to future years until they are gone. Andy, Buzz, and Elmo say, “Please be there for our sisters and brothers as you were there for us!”
