Help Ryan save lives
This past November Adam and I adopted Ryan. Shortly after we welcomed him into our home we learned that he was incredible close to being killed at the ACC and we were lucky to have gotten him when we did. He is an amazing friend and I don’t think either of us could imagine our lives without him now.
Like his parents, Ryan has become an advocate for other pups who are in need of loving homes. In January while shopping at Petco one Sunday afternoon he met Petunia, a
schipperke mix who had been rescued from a hoarder. He talked Adam and I into letting her stay with us until she could get her feet on the ground and find a forever home. After a few weeks of hanging out and showing her around NYC he was successful in finding her the perfect family. Petunia was adopted by good friends of ours and is doing extremely well in her new home and with her new name, Chloe.
More recently Ryan met Contessa, a more mature lady who was rescued from a North Carolina kill shelter. They have become fast friends but Contessa is still looking for her forever home.
Ryan sat me down recently and told me that he really wnted to do something to help his friends, like Contessa, who are still waiting for their forever homes. Luckily, Contessa is at Pets Alive, a no-kill organization that provides a comfortable habitat and tons of love for the animals in their care and the thousands that they rescue each year. He asked me to reach out to my friends and family to see if they would support him and this cause by making a donation to the Pets Alive Tail Wagger Dog Walk, which we will be participating in on September 15th. The suggested fundraising goal is $100 but Ryan is committed to surpassing this by a lot. We hope you will help us do just that and in turn help save the lives of many deserving animals.
