I am raising money to help finding a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.
Earlier this year, we met a family that had a daughter that suffered from cystic fibrosis. This was my first contact with this devastating disease. Cystic fibrosis (also known as CF) is a common recessive genetic disease which affects the entire body, causing progressive disability and often early death. I witnessed the pain of an entire family and the love they devoted to their daughter while caring for her as she got progressively worse and suffered incredible pain. This young lady's last wish was for people to donate to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, so that others suffering from the same illness as she did could have a better chance of surviving and even getting cured of this disease.
I am running the Atlanta Half-Marathon is her honor and would like to request your contribution. Fitfty percent of the money donated will go to research and the other fifty will go to help families that have children suffering from CF and without the means to pay for the treatments.
Any amount will help, so please donate whatever you can.
