Run To Improve Disaster Relief: Support Team Disaster Accountability

I am running as part of the DAP team to raise funds for disaster accountability! Currently, I volunteer with the disaster oversight initiative and will be joining the Bruno sisters in their run in memory of their father, who worked as a volunteer in Haiti.

I became interested in working with DAP after returning from Peru where I spent two years as a Peace Corps volunteer. There, I lived in the south which was devasted by an earthquake in 2007. Two years later, one could still see the effects of the earthquake as many buildings had not yet been repaired.

Right now, I am working on a disaster relief oversight project dealing with Haiti. This team fundraiser is just one of the ways that we are helping to raise funds for disaster oversight and hopefully the work DAP does can help mitigate the ongoing effects of the 2010 earthquake in Haiti as well as future disasters.
