Team FEA is running in the Cherry Blossom 10-mile run, raising money for FEA's study abroad scholarships! Help me reach my goal!
I'm running in the Cherry Blossom 10-mile run to help support students who might not otherwise have the chance to study abroad. I had an amazing study abroad experience in Shanghai, which led to me living in China for over two years after graduation. I am excited to help underrepresented students have incredible experiences abroad as well.
I am by no means a runner, so I'm pretty excited (and a bit overwhelmed) at the prospect of running 10 miles. I appreciate any amount you can give, either as a supporter of FEA, or as a baffled friend or family member who can't believe Meagan's going to run 10 miles!
National facts about study abroad:
•Top 4 study abroad destinations are in Western Europe
•Just 22% of study abroad students are minorities, but minorities make up 36% of the student population in higher education
•The majority of study abroad students study abroad for 8 weeks or less.
•Community college students make up less than 3% of the study abroad population
The Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to increasing both the number and diversity of students who study abroad.
