Making an effort to change children's lives and my own.

Most little girls grow up fantasizing of the day they walk down the aisle, I've grown up dreaming of the day I run Boston. (Which honestly has me slightly concerned so maybe I'll explore that a bit more in depth after the big race. haha) Seriously though. When I learned Mass Mentoring was an official charity partner of the B.A.A. Boston Marathon I thought it posed the perfect marriage.

The picture above was taken near the finish line on Boylston Street last year. My mom and I were lucky enough to snag a spot and soak up some of the contagious energy. You catch youself fighting back tears for complete strangers because you are witnessing something so personal for some of them.

I'm down a toenail(attractive, I know), due to a pair of ill-fitting sneakers I first started my training in, but it's all good now. My longest training run thus far has been 13.24 miles and I completed it in 2 hours and 14 minutes. It's amazing what you can accomplish with some consistent training and a lot of determination.

If you are visiting this page you have most likely touched my life in some way and I thank you for that. Thank you for making a donation so we can make a difference in another's life as well.
