For over 20 years Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach (MTKO) has served the homeless and near homeless. Feeding the hungry is at the core of our mission - MTKO serves a hot nutritious lunch and dinner every day of the year. MTKO also offers homeless prevention services such as life skills training, substance abuse evaluations & counseling, case management, and transitional housing.

With these services, we can have great impact in alleviating and/or preventing homelessness and improving the quality of life for those in great need. As a center for persons who are homeless, Matt Talbot is often a first stop for a meal and information and referral. Because of this, the agency has the opportunity to serve a large number of people in a unique, empowering, and compassionate manner. Staff work to link individuals and families to the appropriate resources offered through Matt Talbot and other community resources.

In the past year we have:

• Provided 103,000 nutritious meals - up 2,000 from last year!
• Assisted over 3,200 unduplicated men, women, and children with prevention services in addition to the provision of meals.
• Provided 21,214 Outreach and Homeless Prevention Services.
• Received 11,180 instances of Volunteer Support for Hunger Relief and Homeless Prevention, and
• Celebrated the alleviation of hunger and homelessness and the success of many of our struggling clients.
