Mission

Our mission is to promote personal development, education, fitness, teamwork and sportsmanship through athletic competitions and scholarship programs for the people of Massachusetts.

Programs

Bay State Summer Games: More than 6,000 participants in 25 sports over a two month time period. Bay State Winter Games: 1,000 participants in 3 sports competing in a one week event. Mass Shape Up Initiative: 1,000 participants in weight loss/activity mile friendly compeition over a five month period. Verizon Future Leaders Scholarship: Six $2,000 awards granted annually to outstanding young student-athletes. To date, more than $200,000 has been distributed to Bay State Games athletes for their pursuit of higher education. New Balance Sportsmanship Initiative: Every year, the Bay State Games recognize more than 200 participants for displaying outstanding sportsmanship during competition. Sports Medicine Conference: The Bay State Games is proud to co-sponsor an annual medical conference that provides continuing education units to Bay State Games Medical Staff who volunteer their time at the Bay State Summer & Winter Games.
