I am trying to raise $1,000.00 to support childhood cancer research at Seattle Children's Hospital and Mary Bridge Children's Hospital.
Please support me in raising $1,000 for childhood cancer research. I completed the Tacoma City 5K, the Seattle Rock and Roll Half-Marathon, and I am now training for the Walt Disney World Half-Marathon in January of 2012. Any donation will be greatly appreciated. Sacrificing today's latte can make a difference. Proceeds from my fundraising efforts will benefit Oncology Research at Seattle Children's Hospital and Mary Bridge Children's Hospital in Tacoma. I am doing this in honor of Rally Kid Jayel. Jayel lives right here in the Puget Sound Region, and he is just a year younger than my son, Greyson. I want to ensure that he and other children grow up to enjoy a lifetime of birthdays and other happy events. If you are not comfortable donating on-line today, please mail your check with Rally Athlete "Mary Gelstin" written in the memo section. Please mail check to: Rally Foundation 5775 Glenridge Drive Building B Suite 370 Sandy Springs, GA 30328 My mother-in-law died from breast cancer two years ago after an eight year battle. Despite all that I watched her go through, I cannot imagine going through the horror as a child, or trying to deal with it as a parent. Please help keep other families and friends from having to mourn their loved ones. Thank you for your support. Every day two classrooms of students, about 46 children, are diagnosed with cancer and most will spend the next three years in treatment. Pediatric cancer is different than adult cancer and is the number one disease killer of kids ages 0-20. Rally Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, is dedicated to raising funds to support childhood cancer research which is under-funded up to $30 million a year. Please join me with your donation and be a Champion for Childhood Cancer Research!
