On average, in the US a Law Enfocement Officer is killed every 72 hours. in communities just like where you live. Following the loss of life, those left behind are known as Survivors. These people left to carry on with their lives after such a tragic loss are husbands and wives, children, siblings, parents, loved ones, and law enforcement partners. To help cope and support one another following a tragic loss is the group Concerns of Police Survivors, also known as COPS. Law Enforcement United and Team New England support COPS with your donations.

In May 2011, Federal, State and Local Law Enforcement Officers will bicycle from Chesapeake, Virginia to the Pentagon 9-11 memorial, then continue on to participate in National Peace Officers Memorial Day services.

It is our mission to honor the service and sacrifice of all law enforcement officers that have died in the line of duty.

I'm riding The Road To Hope as part of Team New England. Team New England currently has nine members. All members are active or retired law enforcement officers from Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Our team, along with the other riders of Law Enforcement United will bicycle nearly 300 miles from Chesapeake, VA to Washington D.C. in support of two outstanding charities.
