Donations provide treatments for animals who would otherwise be at risk of euthanasia due to curable medical conditions for lack of funds.

*Our Vision:*

To be the leader in innovative companion animal rescue.

*Our Mission:*

Dedicated to providing unsurpassed standards for quality care, client
education and training of companion animals. To promote responsible pet
ownership while uniting fellow rescuers in the pursuit of ending animal
homelessness.

MARS is dedicated to saving the lives of homeless dogs and cats regardless
of age or breed. Since our inception in 2006, we have placed nearly 10,000
animals into loving permanent homes. Once these animals are in our care
they are vaccinated, micro-chipped, spayed or neutered, and treated for any
other medical conditions that may exist. With the help of our wonderful
volunteer foster caregivers, special attention is always provided to those
animals that need additional time and medical care before going to their
"forever" home.

MARS is a foster based rescue group that runs on the support and aid of
over 1,000 dedicated volunteers. We do not have a shelter facility for
boarding. Instead, our rescued animals live in foster homes as visiting
family members and they receive the same love and care as permanent
four-legged family members would. Unlike animals kept in a shelter setting,
the foster parents gain insight into an animal's personality and behavior.
This helps to produce the best possible matches between animal and new
family. We are very proud of our 99% success rate of adoption.

Adoption is not the end of a rescued pet's relationship with MARS. We are
always available to assist with issues that may arise. We offer low cost
training classes to our adopters, and in keeping with our mission, to the
general public as well. Several times a year MARS, in partnership with
Green Veterinary Services, offers low cost vaccinations to the public. We
also frequently host and assist MNSNAP, a low cost mobile spay and neuter
clinic open to the public, which utilizes our adoption center to provide
their services.
