As many of you know, I'm the Communications Director at HERO, Healthcare Equipment Recycling Organization (legal name: Project HERO).

Not only do I work for the organization, I believe in it.

HERO collects and redistributes donated healthcare materials (anything from Band-Aids to hospital beds) for our local and global community. By reusing these items, we are helping to keep them out of the landfills.

Thanksgiving is not only a time to reflect on all the gifts we have been given, but a time to give back to those who are struggling.
