Working for economic and media justice for immigrants, people of color and those with low incomes so all can participate in community life.

Whose voices are being heard? Who has the opportunity to break the cycle of poverty?

Main Street Project works to break down structural barriers and develop creative and practical approaches for immigrants, people of color and those with low or no incomes to more fully participate in community life. We turn possibilities into realities.

To accomplish this, we focus on collaborations with both the public and private sector, develop and conduct culturally relevant training programs, and get involved in public policy discussions affecting our communities.

We need your support:

So that Jose and other agripreneur training graduates have resources to launch new poultry farming operations in southern Minnesota and make a better life for their families.

So that youth and adults in the diverse Phillips and Frogtown neighborhoods have the opportunity to create local community radio reflecting their cultures, priorities, and solutions.

So that decision makers understand that communication is a basic need and human right, and that the Internet and media access must be treated as utilities rather than commodities or privileges.

Every donation helps turn possibilities into realities. Thank you for supporting economic and media justice for all community members.

Regi and the Rural Enterprise Center are doing innovative work in building a thriving, sustainable community model that will work anywhere! Or, maybe the Rural Enterprise Center is just reminding us that we all need to get back to our roots and work together to ensure our community success. However you want to look at it, it's working!

The Rural Enterprise Center and its Agripreneur program (part of the Main Street Project) are doing wonderful grassroots work for sustainable, human-scale food production, drawing on Latinos' knowledge in this area and empowering Latino families in agriculture. I enthusiastically support them.
