We're building the 1st playground that ALL kids and adults can enjoy, including those with disabilities!

Universally Accessible Parks A park is often a child’s first outdoor classroom – a place to enhance physical strength, explore equipment and make new friends. For the 1,450 children in Palo Alto dealing with physical and/or cognitive challenges, the park experience is dramatically different. While we would never deny a child entrance into a classroom, we routinely exclude children with disabilities entrance onto our playgrounds, since most traditional playgrounds are physically inaccessible to them.

These special children, along with our aging population, have been forgotten groups in our playground development ... until now!

The City of Palo Alto has teamed with The Friends to build this special place of inclusion by the Spring of 2013, but we need your help to finance it!

Please call Olenka with questions, or naming opportunities: 650-380-1557. Magical thanks!!
