The Mahtomedi Area Green Initiative Environmental Leadership Award provides a $1,000 merit-based scholarship to a graduating Mahtomedi High School senior who exemplifies commitment, innovation, and leadership in addressing environmental issues. The scholarship, established and funded for three years by philanthropists Vicki and Si Ford and their family, was inspired by Mahtomedi students whose vision, dedication, and leadership were pivotal in making the Zephyr Wind Turbine a reality. The award celebrates this past student initiative and encourages future student engagement in solving environmental challenges.Your contribution will make it possible to continue this award beyond its current horizon and will demonstrate to Mahtomedi students and families that this community cares about their future and the future of our planet.
