I would greatly appreciate anyone's support and donations to raise money for the orphanage and children that took my heart in Nicaragua.
The definition of compassion is simply this: to suffer with. For one week, April 4th-8th, the Virginia Tech Nicaraguan Orphan Fund will commit to eat a diet of only rice and beans, the basic diet of the malnourished Nicaraguan child, in order to spend a week in Blacksburg really “suffering with” the children we have come to know and love. The funds raised during The Compassion Diet will supply operation costs for the feeding centers of Nueva Vida. My spring break spent in Nicaragua was completely life changing and eye-opening, and has made me appreciate everything I am so blessed to have. Being able to see first hand what these children deal with every day, and how they still have such a sense of selfless love is the most inspirational thing I have ever witnessed, and I will never be the same because of it. They gave me so much in my little time down there, I want to give back to them as much as I can. Thank you so much for all of your love and support! God Bless!
