Veronica's Voice has been serving women escaping human trafficking/commercial sex industry for more than 10 years. Our biggest obstacle and gap in services has been the ability to offer safe housing. On August 25, 2010 we were approached by a citizen of our community who had a vision to make a difference. He presented us with a plan that allowed us to purchase a home in our neighborhood, making a sizeable down payment, and allowing us to raise the balance of the purchase price.

Magdalene Manor is a historic home in the Hyde Park area of Kansas City. The strength of it's brick facade and stately double door entrance speaks dignity to all who enter. The foyer welcomes with a reminiscence of past grandeur offering both heart and home. The house affords more than 5,500 square feet providing ample space to meet the needs of many women.

We are excited to offer this home environment where women will live while they continue to access programs and services at Veronica's Voice Safe Center. The goal for every woman is for full restoration and wellness. Each woman receives a personalized assessment and ongoing case management to assure that she receives the full benefit of both Veronica's Voice and community resources.
