Your gifts are helping to make great things possible at your community Hospital & Clinic. Thank You!
Recently we experienced grandma’s vision improving from cataract surgery, Joe able to walk with his new knee and John back home thanks to Home Care. What a privilege to be a part of helping people achieve these milestones. For generations, Madelia Community Hospital’s personalized care has been our cornerstone and knowing the people we serve, this inspires us to practice healthcare “just a little bit better” because you are our friends and neighbors. Founded in 1918, Madelia Community Hospital is a 25 bed non-profit independently owned facility. As a critical access hospital, we offer all primary services – medical/surgical, pediatrics and emergency medical care. As a small facility we take great pride in our ability to offer diverse services to our patients such as; digital mammography, Physical Therapy, cataract and orthopedic surgeries, Home Care, swing bed, Hospice and much more. With a big leap of faith and the support of our community in 2006 we embarked upon a major expansion which has provided us with the latest innovation in healthcare, “Wellness Environment Rooms”. Opened in 2008, the new room design provides a peaceful and tranquil setting so a patient can relax more deeply and thus heal more quickly. Key attributes are increased patient privacy, patient and family satisfaction and improved operational efficiency. Our “Wellness Environment Rooms” are known as the “Five Star” rooms of Madelia – which patients and families truly love. Here are some of the comments we have heard from patients regarding the new rooms; “Wow, this is awesome, I feel like I am staying at the Radisson”, “This is really great, I never imagined I could have eye surgery in Madelia plus get such a beautiful room”, and “Now I will have to think about how I can get sick more often”. Our expansion allows us to couple our “nurturing care” within in a “nurturing environment, so we can give you a whole new kind of patient experience. This past year we opened a Provider based Clinic to better meet the needs of our patients with having the continuum of care.
