Animating and inspiring current and future early music lovers
The Lyra Baroque Orchestra is in its 29th season!
From the first O'Shaughnessy concert with the local American Guild of Organists, through awards, regional appearances, and two trips to Spain, to recent seasons in Rochester and the Twin Cities with the likes of Jaap ter Linden and Kris Kwapis, Lyra has survived and thrived because of many devoted musicians and listeners. In addition to inspiring, historically informed performances, Lyra is also committed to the next generation of early music lovers, presenting free Thursday night master classes and free Sunday afternoon family concerts. From its home at The Baroque Room in the rejuvenated Lowertown neighborhood of St. Paul, Lyra is an integral and supportive player in the Twin Cities early music community.
With your support, we can bring the marvelous music we all love to more people of all ages! Thank you!
