My name is Lynne and about 2 years ago I weighed 350 pounds. It was at that time that a very dear friend found out that he would soon have to say goodbye to his 2 1/2 year old daughter. She had cancer. It sucked. It REALLY SUCKED. There was nothing that I could do. There was nothing that anybody could do. It was through knowing her that I saw how precious my own life was, and how precious the life of my own baby girl was. It was not too long after that when I started to walk. Then one day I ran to the neighbor's mailbox. I kept running in short spurts until I could run 1/10 of a mile. I just built up and developed a passion for running, and a passion for life. Now I refuse to stop. Last year I completed several 5Ks, 10Ks, a couple 15Ks, two half marathons, and one 16 mile run. This year my goal is even higher. I'll be running the Disney half marathon again, but not only am I running it, but I'm also a team leader!!! I'm so excited to help others who are passionate in fighting childhood cancer.

I will always run for the children. I run for Amelia, Caleb, Maxx, Ethan, Jason, and so many others. Will you help me as I run to help erradicate childhood cancer???
