The Library Capital Campaign is in the fundraising phase to furnish the interior of the library and provide for exterior landscaping.

LLTC's current library is a tiny space of about 900 square feet. A large portion of the library collection sits in storage due to lack of shelf space, and only a handful of students at a time can study or research. To allow LLTC to continue its growth and to improve our service to students, we're building a beautiful new library and learning center. LLTC selected Deer River-based Frontier Construction, ran by a Leech Lake Band Member, as the general contractor for the project, and construction began on September 30th, 2013. Having a local general contractor means that this project will have the greatest possible impact on the local and regional economy - a true win-win situation.

As funding began to wain on the completion of the campaign. Ed Robinson, Honorary Chairman of the Library Campaign Committee, pledged a $100,000 challenge gift to successfully complete the library construction project.

The Construction phase of the campaign has been completed. We still need the support of friends like you, people who understand how education can change lives and transform communities, to provide us with the resources needed to finish the campaign and secure the necessary funding to furnish the interior of the library. Please consider a gift to help us reach our goal.

If you have any questions about this project, or about the mission, work, and success of Leech Lake Tribal College, please contact the LLTC Advancement office at 218-335-4262 or

Chi miigwech (thank you so much!) for your support.
