The goal of the Sleep Out is to help struggling families in the community and create hope for a better future.
As I'm sure many of you know, I work for a nonprofit organization in Plymouth called Interfaith Outreach & Community Partners (IOCP). IOCP helps families and individuals who have fallen on hard times. We prevent kids in our community from going hungry and seniors from become homeless. We help moms and dads get education, secure stable employment, and overcome transportation barriers so that their families can be stable and independent.
The Sleep Out is IOCP's annual fundraiser to raise awareness about the needs of our community and raise money to allow IOCP to respond to those situations and make lasting change.
I will be sleeping outside (in the cold!!) on December 5 as a part of the campaign. Please consider donating funds - $5, $10, $20 - to support my efforts and prevent others from becoming homeless.
