Life Is Good
DeGross Family fundraising for Friendship Ventures dba Children's Disability Service
The DeGross family is working together with Camp Friendship and the Annandale community to construct a large activity center for the campers
Camp Friendship has an important mission to enhance the quality of life for children, teens and adults who have developmental disabilities by providing them with recreational and social activities. Our goal is to support and strengthen these activities by helping the camp fund an event hall in memory of our family member.
Nick DeGross was a true ambassador to the mission of the Camp. He dedicated his time and energy to working on projects both large and small to support the camp. Nick was an important person to the camp. He was even more important to us, his family. Our husband, father to 7, grandfather to 16 and great-grandfather to 6, put his whole heart into everything he did. He taught us how to live, give, and be grateful for what we have been blessed with.
June 5th, 2011, Nick (aka Nick the plumber) DeGross passed away unexpectedly. He left behind his large family and we are passionately dedicated to continue his legacy. A legacy he never thought he was leaving; he just wanted to help those who needed it.
Nick loved to be surrounded by his family and friends, and enjoyed a good party. He would look for any excuse to have one! We want to help Camp Friendship raise the necessary money to construct a large activity center, so that all of the campers have a place to play games, have dances---PARTY!
Nick truly believed that "Life is Good" and that is how he lived his life. We want everyone to feel this way, especially the campers who attend Camp Friendship.
Please support us is making this activity center become a reality.
