Levi's Adventure Trail will be dedicated to Levi Stephen Collom who died 03/18/2012 of SUDC & be a outdoor nature eco friendly playground
Levi Stephen Collom was a happy, healthy 3 1/2 year old boy who took a nap on March 17, 2012 and did not wake up. He died of unknown causes.
Levi's death is being considered SUDC-*
The death of a small child is very difficult on everyone especially one that is unexpected. The death of Levi has been the most traumatic event in our lives. Levi was a happy boy, he loved his parents, sister Victoria, visiting his grandparents, going to preschool,
taking gymnastics, he liked super heroes, trucks, trains, mandarin oranges, mac and cheese and his favorite color was orange.
He also loved going to Current River with his family where he would camp, swim, dig for treasures in the sand and watch the floaters and boats go by. Levi asked for a grill for this past Christmas so he could cook like his daddy. He liked to cook smores over the fire.
To honor Levi and keep his memory alive our family and friends are committed to creating an exhibit for all children to enjoy. Levi loved going to the Discovery Playhouse Children’s Museum in Cape Girardeau, Mo. almost as much as he enjoyed taking family camping trips to Current River.
The concept drawing is now complete. We are now working on pricing the elements that will be in the exhibit which will be called Levi's Adventure Trail. The trail will include an interactive river called Levi's Silly Stream which will replicate Current River (the family camping area). The kids will be able to dig for ancient arrow heads in the sand area. Jump Levi's Leaping Logs and explore Levi's Curious Caves. The older kids will be able to climb a large tree ( left side of the drawing ) go across a rope bridge and re-charge their Super Powers in Levi's Lair. Levi's Lair will be a phase of the exhibit which will be actually inside the second story of the building.
This exhibit will be Eco-Friendly, and will teach important lessons throughout Levi's Adventure Trail.
We are seeking individual donations, matching grants, corporate support and major gifts. Cape Girardeau, Mo. is in Southeast Missouri,The Discovery Playhouse is a wonderful place for children in our region. We want to provide a place for the many families that cannot afford to go on trips to the city.
Please join us as we build a wonderful interactive exhibit and play area in honor of our little Levi.
If you have any information to share with us about matching grants or to share your story with us please feel free to email us firstname.lastname@example.org (Ellie Collom Levi's Mom) or email@example.com (Viney Mosley Levi's MiMi)
