Please support me as I return to Haiti to assist with storm clean up, rebuilding, and youth education and empowerment. Thank You!
Due to the disastrous effects of Tropical Storm Isaac and Hurricane Sandy on the Jacmel community, we have recognized the urgent need to support our non-profit partner Let Haiti Live at the end of this year. Let Haiti Live supports Haitian-led initiatives that strengthen the people’s ability to become more self-sufficient economically, socially and environmentally.
Tropical Storm Issac and Hurricane Sandy affected many of the people that I met while I was there and to whom I have committed to help. Sandy passed through the village of Cyvadier only weeks after Tropical Storm Isaac had already created widespread damage. In some areas, irrigation canals are clogged with soil from floods and gardens have been destroyed. Our group will support the community through 3 days of rebuilding irrigation channels, and two days of facilitating English and leadership training activities with Haitian youth.
Youth empowerment is CRUCIAL to helping Haitians rebuild their country. Your donation will support the education and rebuilding projects we will be developing in Haiti to support this group of youth leaders as well as subsidize volunteer housing and food costs.
We ask you to help support and give back to a community in urgent need this New Year in any way that you can.
Your support will go to:
-Educational and rebuilding materials
-Financial support of the Let Haiti Live staff, youth and their families
-Operational expenses program development for 2013
Please help me reach my goal of raising $2500 for Let Haiti Live by December 28th!
Thank you for all of your support,
