The Legacy Theater Company is a nonprofit, volunteer-based organization whose purpose is to enrich, educate, and entertain our community.
Our Misison is simple: The Legacy Theater Company is a nonprofit, volunteer-based organization whose purpose is to enrich, educate, and entertain our diverse community by providing a superior theatre experience.
In the Winter of 2000, The Legacy Theater Company was birthed in the heart of James and Erika Hose.
“We had written a play for our church entitled The Legacy. In it, the actors conveyed to our audience that there is something that only they can do and there is something that only they can say. Each and every person has a legacy,” says Erika Hose, President and Founder.
Since then, every play that Erika and James have written and directed have performed to sold out audiences. Their vision has expanded into the community they call home, Jacksonville, NC.
Erika Hose was trained on Long Island in New York. Being so close to New York City gave Erika the opportunity to learn and sharpen her skills in the greatest city, for live theater, in the world. Having been trained by some of the greatest minds, Erika excelled in music and live theater and has performed on some of the great New York stages, including Carnegie Hall. Erika’s desire is to bring live theater to Jacksonville, NC and the Crystal Coast utilizing the unique skills and gifts in the community. Therefore, in 2010, The Legacy Theater Company was born.
