LAREDO LIFE CENTER

All too often the women who come to the Laredo Life Center are caught in the crossfire of the pro-choice/pro-life debate. They are scared, alone, and facing pressures and circumstances that are overwhelming at times. They don’t know where to turn or who will help without judging them. That is why many are thinking about an abortion; because it will “all just go away.” The Laredo Life Center was the only place where one young woman felt loved regardless of her situation. The gift of our friendly, caring services began to ease her burden and open her heart to the truth that her fetus is an unborn child. In spite of difficult circumstances, she chose to give birth to her child. The gift of life had been given. What if you could give a gift that CHANGED someone’s life? A woman came to the Life Center feeling that she was unable to have a relationship with God because of lifestyle choices she has made. With her permission, a counselor was able to explain the free gift of salvation available through Jesus’ death on the cross. This woman was forever changed by the power of the gospel. Another came feeling overwhelmed and ill-prepared to be a parent. At the Life Center she learned how to nurture, care for, discipline, and love her children. She was taught how to be a parent, and she was given the gift of altered family patterns. In the past year the Lord has used this ministry to touch the hearts of young men and women, save lives of the unborn, and change families in ways that will impact generations to come.
