Help community voices be heard at the National Bike Summit. Contribute to the Cycling Opportunity Grant Fund and build equity in bicycling!

The Biking Public Project, an initiative inspired by the 2012 Youth Bike Summit, works with underrepresented bicyclists around New York City including women, people of color, and delivery cyclists to expand local advocacy discussions about cycling.

RIDE: In Living Color is a groundbreaking documentary about the transformative power of the bike, and how it is changing urban American communities throughout this country by three African American women.

Richmond Spokes is an entrepreneurial youth training program empowering young entrepreneurs to provide local, national, and international cyclists with professional bicycle services, sales and accessories.

What do these groundbreaking projects have in common?

There is a good chance their vital voices and perspectives will be missing in the largest gathering of bike-minded advocates in the nation’s capital, the National Bike Summit.

Organizations and individuals like The Biking Public Project or Yolanda Davis-Overstreet which serve as essential players in making our cycling community broader and more inclusive will be missing.

We want to make sure that doesn’t happen.

Help us make sure that their voices are present in Washington by contributing to the Cycling Opportunity Grant Fund. The Cycling Opportunity Grant Fund will provide registration scholarships for the National Bike Summit and support the League’s effort to address equity in cycling. Based on available funding, applicants will be awarded scholarships to cover registration to the Summit in DC.

The National Bike Summit is only weeks away so we need you to help us spread the word about this campaign and contribute to make this possible. Donate, share and repeat!
