Miracle Miles for Kids is a fundraiser put on by Family Care Network, Inc. to help provide for the basic needs of the population they serve.
On May 12th I will be participating in Miracle Miles for Kids, a 10K fundraiser for the non-profit organization I work for, Family Care Network, Inc (http://fcni.org/). Family Care Network strives to help foster and high needs children, youth, and families by providing therapeutic services and support for whatever needs they may have. Since Family Care is a non-profit organization they rely heavily on donors and fundraisers and due to the current financial crisis, the organization really needs this support in order to continue to provide children and families with quality care.
Family Care Network is an amazing, family-oriented organization that provides an alternative to placing high needs children in group homes out of county. They strive to keep children in their schools and communities in order to reduce the trauma that relocation can cause. Through programs such as therapeutic foster care and Wraparound family services they have been quite successful in doing so. In the short time that I have been with the organization, I have been able to observe the difference that Family Care makes, not only in the communities they serve, but in the lives of each child and family they serve.
Anything you can manage would help and be greatly appreciated
