I will be running the 117th Boston Marathon and raising money for the kids at the Boys & Girls Club! I hope you will support me!
I have decided to run the 117th Boston Marathon on Monday, April 15, 2013. I’ve set out to raise $8,000 for the Boys & Girls Club!
I grew up a swimmer who ran only when forced. Several years ago I began to run while training for a triathlon and discovered was that I really enjoy running. I have continued to run regularly and completed my first half marathon in 2010. Now it is time for a new challenge! Growing up near the city of Boston, I have always been intrigued by the Boston Marathon and amazed by the dedication of its runners. Thus, I have decided to join that group of runners and run the marathon myself.
Is there a better way to run the maraton than to run it supporting great cause? I can't think of a more worthy nonprofit organization to run for than the Boys and Girls Club. As an organization they provide a safe place for kids to go after school where they can participate in programs designed to help them think bigger, grow stronger and become the people they dream of being. My husband and I are involved with the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Lowell and have seen, first hand, the great things that the club can do for a large number of kids. We will continue to support this great organization and hope that you will too.
A donation of any amount will help to continue the mission set forth in 1860 when the Boys and Girls Club of America was founded. Please join me in providing quality educational programs and athletic activities to kids so that they are equipped with the crucial skills needed to become healthy, fit, and successful adults.
If you are considering donating, please inquire about any matching funds program your employer may have. Please note that all donations are tax deductible.
There are two ways to donate. First, you can donate directly through this webpage by clicking the green DONATE button. Second, you can make a check payable to the Boys and Girls Club and mail it directly to me at 23 Boston Road, Westford, MA 01886.
Thanks for visiting my webpage and THANK YOU VERY MUCH for your support of my Boston Marathon run!
