Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for Victims for Justice, supporting and advocating for victims of violent crime.
This November, I will be embarking on an enormous adventure and fundraising mission in Tanzania: climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. As part of this personal journey, I am raising awareness and funds for a cause that is very near and dear to my heart, Victims for Justice. Over the course of six days, I'll be ascending over 17,000 vertical feet to the "roof of Africa", the highest mountain on the continent and one of the seven summits. It is my hope that in taking on this challenge I will help to bring awareness to a charity that is doing superb outreach work in areas that are all-too-often overlooked.
I am requesting your support in helping me to reach my goal of raising $3.000 for this important organization.
What impact does your contribution have?
Victims for Justice is a non-profit organization that supports and advocates for victims of violent crime, which can include physical assault, rape, or the survivors of homicide. After such traumatizing experiences, victims are frequently disoriented and find it difficult to cope with the confusing and at-times demanding legal system as they fight for justice.
VFJ provides unique and essential counseling services, advocacy within the court system for victims and their families, crisis intervention, and most importantly, prevention work and outreach in the form of anti-bullying and other community campaigns. I believe passionately in and have been a firsthand witness to the great work that Victims for Justice does, and that's why I'm taking on this personal mission to help support those that are sadly forgotten.
