I am participating in the Krispy Kreme Challenge this year for several reasons. As a runner: I haven't run in a LONG time and i needed a small challenge to get back on the horse. As a Pediatrician: I did my residency training at UNC so my heart has a warm spot for Carolina and I wanted to help give back and I know the importance of these resources for the patients and families who seek care at UNC and often times am sending my very own patients into UNC's doors to get the care they need. And now, as a (relatively new) parent: just the thought of my own baby, the light of my life, ever being diagnosed with a serious illness brings me to tears, so I just knew I wanted to help however I could so this is what I came up with. So, here's where you come in...I am hoping, as we head into this new year that is just waiting to be filled with challenges, opportunities, and adventures, you will find it in your heart to help me reach my goals with any contribution you can make! No matter how great or small every little bit counts so much in the lives of these families! Oh, and I almost forgot, as a foodie: who doesn't love some good old-fashioned, warm, glazed Krispy Kreme donuts and being forced to eat a dozen of them in one sitting!!!

Tony, Addie, and I will do the running, donut eating, and barfing...all you have to do is make a small contribution! Please help us reach our goal! :)
