Friends and Family,
In five weeks time most of us will celebrate Thanksgiving with loved ones. For many of us, knowing we have a roof over our head and food to eat tops our list of things we are thankful for. What we may not always think about are our neighbors who have less. This could be someone down the block, around the corner or on the other side of town. In these shaky economic times we may be the next one living below the poverty line. I am not the type to solicit donations, but A Wider Circle works tirelessly to try to make sure those living in the harshest conditions are cared for so I am asking you to help them with a small donation.
Instead of continuing to preach I will end with a quote from former Attorney General and NY Senator, Robert F. Kennedy.
"Few will have the greatness to bend history itself; but each of us can work to change a small portion of events, and in the total; of all those acts will be written the history of this generation."
RFK's 85th birthday would have been November 20th. I am hoping to help raise $850 by that day. If everyone who see's this donates just $3, I think that goal is attainable.
Thanks for reading my schpeal.
