50 cents feeds a child in Nicaragua for a day! You can make a difference in their lives!
This spring break I had the opportunity to go back to Nicaragua for the fourth time! Three years ago I went to Nicaragua for Spring Break and it wrecked my world. We worked in an area called Nueva Vida, which is a hurricane refugee camp started in 1998. Most families here earn less than a dollar a day and cannot support their children. We go down to provide these kids hope and encouragement, but most importantly to love them as Christ has loved us.
So, what can we do now? Myself and 41 other Hokies are eating beans and rice for one week to raise money to feed these kids. 50 cents feeds a child for a day, $15 for a month! You can make a difference in theses kids lives!
