The Amplified Musculoskeletal Pain Syndrome (AMPS) 5k is a fun run and walk that will benefit the Childhood RND Educational Foundation, INC.
AMPS/RND is a painful condition that involves the inappropriate firing of nerves. The event will also be an important fundraiser and a venue for individuals with this condition to gather together in support for one another. This affects more than 2% of all teens. This syndrome can be very debilitating and many suffer for years before they are even diagnosed correctly. Kayleigh became so debilitated that she was not able to walk or feed herself for a month. Simple things that we do every day and take for granted becomes impossible and excruciating painful for these teens. Creating awareness is very important as many doctors do not know what to look for and treatment is available in only 5 locations in our big nation. Please help these teens in any way you can. Every day that I see my daughter walking is a gift.
