I'll be running the Brooklyn Marathon on November 17th! All generous donations will go to the American Red Cross for disaster relief.
While my Sandy experience felt more like an elementary school snowday (including Funfetti cake, friend sleep-overs, True Lies, and lots of PJ time), others were not as fortunate. I am sure you all know the devastating effect of this hurricane from either living it or watching it on the news. Thousands are still without power and heat and many have lost homes and businesses. So instead of running this marathon to prove to myself that I could do it, I've decided to take up the cause and run for Hurricane Sandy relief.
I know this is a bit last minute, but anything you can donate will be very much appreciated - I've set up this fancy site to collect donations for the American Red Cross. Thank you in advance for helping.
Much love and sweat,
