I have had the opportunity to attend Young Judea camps for the past 7 summers and I have learned about many values during my time in these great Jewish communities. In thinking about how I can "make a difference in my own way", I would like to help fellow Young Judaeans restore and rebuild New Orleans after the terrible destruction from Hurricane Katrina. Giving back to the community is always important and I think that this trip would be both a great learning experience and a fun time. I am trying to raise funds to help pay for the Alternative Winter Break Program as well as for airfare from Boston to New Orleans. My older sister went on this same trip to New Orleans years ago and had a great time helping rebuild New Orleans. Now, I would like to also have the same oppurtunity to go on the trip.
