John Stein fundraising for JOHN S PICKERING FOUNDATION dba Miles for Cystic Fibrosis
John completed his first full marathon on 11/10 at Chickamauga Park! There's still time to donate.
Well I did it. All that remains is the memory and a few aches and pains.
Due to the tremendously generosity of friends and family who donated on-line and through the mail, my campaign now stands at $3644, surpassing even my updated goal! Let's see if we can make it to $4,000! THANK YOU for your support.
Remember I will be running in the Chickamauga Battlefield Full Marathon – 26.2 miles -- on Saturday, November 10th.
I hope I can count on your support!
Thanks to those who have donated already – $1588 so far. Keep it coming!
“Double the miles…double the pledge”
For over 25 years I have been involved in an annual event, a fundraiser to benefit Cystic Fibrosis (CF). CF is a personal matter for me and my family, as my sister-in-law Joy has CF. Diagnosed at age two in 1977, it is truly amazing that she is now 37. Much progress has been made in new medications and treatments, but CF still remains a life threatening disease with no cure. It affects over 30,000 children and adults in the US.
Over the past many months, I have been training for my first full marathon. Please won’t you help support me again?
Earlier this year, with the generous support of 84 members of my family, friends and work colleagues, I was able to exceed my spring fund-raising goal and raised $4,880. In the past five years you have helped me raise a total of $19,806!! for this worthy organization. Thank you!
To sponsor me this time, simply donate through this Razoo webpage. You can also mail me a check, made payable to Miles for Cystic Fibrosis, 4055 Vicksburg Dr., Lawrenceville, GA 30044. (Please write my name in the MEMO section of the check.)
I hope I can count on your support. I know these financial times continue to be challenging for everyone, but we can’t stop funding research until a cure is found. The dollar amount does not matter – every little bit helps. Wish me luck, and thank you for your continued support.
