Let’s keep the World Arts Focus in Art Education! Support arts learning at Joe's after school & summer programs.

Dear Friends of Joe’s,

Joe’s remains committed to maintaining world class after-school and summer camp programming. However, federal budget cuts and decreased funding nationwide are impacting our ability to continue to provide high quality programs.

Where can you take your children in our metropolitan area to expose them to African drumming, ballet, piano, salsa, and capoeira, all under 1 roof AND at affordable prices? For almost 20 years, the answer to that question has been Joe’s Movement Emporium!

During this time we have continued to expose Mount Rainier and the Gateway Arts District, as well as, the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia to arts traditions from around the world. Joe’s provides eclectic offerings and acts as your passport to the world.

Your one-time gift may be the difference between offering tango, and introducing our youth to the culture of Argentina, or just having your children play in the park. Would you please consider giving on a monthly or quarterly basis to keep the World Art Focus at Joe’s?

Don’t forget, Joe’s is not just for kids. I invite you to come and participate in one of our many adult classes featuring hand dancing, aerial arts, yoga and Tai Chi - for a worldly arts experience!

Thank you for your continued support of Joe’s and our community. I truly appreciate all you do and look forward to continued creativity with your family!

Best Regards,

Jessica Quiroz, Assistant Art Education Director
