With your help, we're using social media to connect individuals across Minnesota to Jewish ideas, organizations and communities.

Jewfolk Media, Inc. is a Minnesota non-profit committed to using interactive technology and social media to connect individuals to Jewish ideas, organizations, and communities, and increase the number and quality of Jewish moments experienced by people of all ages and backgrounds - whether those moments be religious, cultural, educational, or social.

Jewfolk Media strives to achieve that purpose through its current project, www.TCJewfolk.com, a multi-author daily online magazine and virtual communal space primarily aimed at young Jewish adults in their 20s, 30s and 40s in Minneapolis and Saint Paul, Minnesota. With the help of over a dozen writers of varying Jewish identities, TC Jewfolk publishes news, commentary and creative expression six days a week – resting on the Jewish sabbath. Through a number of channels including TCJewfolk.com, a Facebook™ page (www.facebook.com/tcjewfolk), and Twitter™ persona (www.twitter.com/tcjewfolk), TC Jewfolk strives to create conversations and connections within the greater Minneapolis and St. Paul Jewish community and beyond.

TC Jewfolk’s efforts to publish news, commentary and creative expression, and to increase the number and quality of Jewish moments experienced by people of all ages and backgrounds depends on the support of its members. Our goal is to build a base of 500 contributing members by the end of 2012 – Join us!

Testimonials

"As someone who didn't grow up in Minnesota, I have found TC Jewfolk to be a great resource- along with my synagogue- for discovery, exploration, opinions, and at times, interesting controversy within, about, and tangential to the Jewish community in the Twin Cities. It brings together Jews 'of all stripes' with whom I might not otherwise have the opportunity to interact."

- Michael Wall, Educator and regular TC Jewfolk reader, parent of two, age 47

“TC Jewfolk reflects the broad diversity of Jewish thought and opinion in the Twin Cities. It is a vital source of creativity and inspiration for me and for the entire Jewish community.”

- Rabbi Michael Adam Latz, Senior Rabbi at Shir Tikvah

"I love TC Jewfolk because, as a stay at home mom, it enables me to not only feel like part of the Jewish community; by keeping me up to date on Jewsih events and issues, but it also allows me to participate. I have won tickets to events, made new friends in the community, even cried when I read poignant articles. In this age of the world wide web, TC Jewfolk is the single best resource we have in our community to help Jews (and others) stay connected."

- Melissa Ginzburg, TC Jewfolk reader and participant, Woodbury, age 32

“TC Jewfolk has been a dynamic, new platform for finding out what’s news and what’s important in the local Jewish community. It’s good to look at and easy to read. Best of all, its information and analysis I want. TC Jewfolk features excellent local bloggers and significant columns by national writers we should all be following.”

- David Harris, Executive Director, Rimon: The MN Jewish Arts Council

“Edgy, current and fun, partnering with TC Jewfolk has been a great opportunity for Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Minneapolis to enhance our marketing efforts. As a result of sharing information about our ongoing programs, events and services, we have reached a broader audience of young Jewish adults and professionals who are now connecting to JFCS as potential donors, volunteers, clients and staff. Targeting this group is crucial to building a strong future for our agency. The value of this social media gem as a viable communications tool in getting the word out cannot be underestimated. TC Jewfolk has become a leading force in meaningful communications to the Jewish community and deserves our support.”

- Robin Segal, Communications Director, JFCS Minneapolis
