I have been working with Jefferson Street Baptist Center for over 7 years now. I started as a volunteer and eventually became so passionate about the ministry here that I came on staff. This is an amazing ministry that cares for people in crisis both physically and spiritually. Please, sponsor me as I run the Derby Mini-Marathon! Imagine not having a warm place to sleep each night. Imagine the cold wind pierces your clothing. You have no place to go for safety and to warm yourself.

Winter is here. For thousands of people in the Louisville area that are hurting, marginalized and homeless – it is the most dangerous and fearful time of year.

With your help, JSBC can continue to provide a place of warmth, safety and comfort for people living on the streets. With your contributions, we can respond to both the physical and spiritual needs of those hurting from the devastation of homelessness.

As people spend their days with us, safe from the weather, drugs and crime on the streets, our staff and volunteers build relationships with our guests and seek to share the gospel of Jesus in word and deed. People that are often ignored and alone find friendship and compassion here. Ultimately, many people who have spent years living in isolation or embarrassment find a family of faith in a local church where they walk more closely with Jesus.

Your generous donation helps to provide a way out and a way up for the homeless and hurting of Louisville. Your gift provides simple, nourishing meals and a glimmer of hope. Most importantly, your help provides a place where Christians can point people in crisis to Christ, invest in their lives and encourage transformation and restoration within the body of Christ.
