Jenna's 2011 Mission Trip to Honduras

There is a feeling and a change that occurs when you are willing to push aside YOUR plans and give in to what God has planned. One that, until you have experienced it, it is hard to understand. I have been to Mexico, Nicaragua, and Guatemala on short-term missions before, but I have never been away on a mission trip for a month before. So this is going to be a completely new experience. I feel like the only way I can completely explain is through the lyrics of a Jim Weber song "For a Time Like This":

I was born for a time like this

Called by God from the plromiseland

Born the son of prosperity to meet the child of the outstretched hand

And in her laughing eyes I find the reason I live

God put me in paradise

I was born for a time like this

I was born in America so I could walk these hungry streets

I was blessed in America for a world with a need that I can meet

And now that God has brought me here to the ones he loves so much

That he gave his only son; let me share his love

Jesus loves me this I know for the bible tells me so

Now little ones belong to him

Because of the mercy that I showed to them

I was born in America for a time like this
