Mission Trip Fundraiser (Jeff Dye)

TRIP #1 - LAKESHORE MISSISSIPPI (March 17-22,2012) Lakeshore Mississippi took the brunt of Hurricane Katrina’s fury. Strong sustained winds (150+ mph) and a 42 foot storm surge destroyed all the homes in this almost forgotten town, leaving its residents without shelter, food, or running water. Months later, the daunting task of rebuilding homes and lives continues. From day one, Lakeshore Baptist Church has served as a conduit of help and hope for her hurting community. Thousands of gulf coast residence still live in very difficult conditions. With their homes destroyed, their lives drastically altered, and reminders of devastation at every turn, the task seems overwhelming. You can make a very real difference in their lives. Our student ministry will be partnering with Lakeshore Baptist Church to help rebuild their community through various on-going projects.

TRIP #2 - GUATEMALA (June 23-30, 2012) Our team of students and adults will be going to serve with Guatemala Outreach. This team will be serving the locals in this poor community. We will be helping re-build roofs to provide shelter from the harsh weather, providing food for the malnourished children, offering children's programs each day and will be doing a variety of other projects that are needed from the outreach center. Your generous donations will help our teams with lodging, transportation, food, and ministry expenses so that we can help those who are less fortunate.
