Special Strides is a local non-profit organization located in Monroe, New Jersey and is dedicated to improving the lives of children with physical and developmental disabilities. At Special Strides our horses, therapists and volunteers are our hero’s. For a child with Cerebral Palsy or Autism the therapy provided can improve a child’s muscle tone, balance, posture, coordination and self confidence in ways you cannot imagine. At Special Strides the horse is the child’s companion.

For the children at Special Strides and their family’s everyday can be a struggle. Having a child with a challenge or handicap often places a financial burden on a family. Too often therapy is not covered by insurance. Therefore, it is the goal of Special Strides to help provide all children the opportunity to experience our magic regardless of their parent’s financial status. Your donation will go directly to benefit the Steven Werthan Memorial Fund which provides financial assistance to the families at Special Strides whose children would not otherwise be able to attend our program and receive our therapy.
