The runningbrooke Fund supports 5 vital Alexandria-based charities: ACTion Alexandria (answering online 'calls to action' for specific needs -- milk and healthful after-school snacks for children living in shelters), Child and Family Network Centers (CFNC-free preschool), Community Lodgings (lifting the homeless to self-sufficiency), Girls on the Run NOVA (empowering and training girls for a 5K running event - elementary schools), The Reading Connection (providing books to kids who have none).
