Doctors without Borders does wonderful relief work where ever it's needed around the globe, including Japan.

Having been born in Japan, with family just outside the devastated area, my heart breaks for the people there. In addition to rolling blackouts and a shattered economy, there's still no proper food and water for many in the North, no proper burials for the dead and missing, and the continued aftershocks.

Over the next few weeks I'll be hosting a fundraiser for Japan relief with the generous help of creative and giving friends, artists, sommeliers and authors. I'm keeping the bids low so more people can participate. So far we have wearable art, calligraphy, cookbooks, Sake pairings...
