WOW! I am beyond moved by all those that have donated. THANK YOU! (A big thank you to my anonymous donor, whomever you are!) This run will be a challenge, as I haven't had as much time to train as I had initially hoped, but it is a challenge I am ready, willing and excited to take on. Thank you again for all of your support. I have the most incredible friends & family.
My first experience with Bay State Games was in 1994. I was 13 years old and traveled to Williamstown, MA to compete in the Juvenile Girls Freestyle US Figure Skating event. Although the experience was not all I hoped for, I continued to attend Bay State Games until I was 18 years old. My medals and jackets from Bay State Games are to this date some of my most prized possessions.
Currently as a competitive figure skating coach, many of my skaters compete in Williamstown. I am proud to have been a competitor and a coach at this prestigious event. The feeling of competing in a beautiful rink, walking down Main Street in Williamstown and being treated like an athlete is something that has shaped my life significantly. Even now, I occasionally wear my original Bay State Games jacket from 1994.
