Inter Press Service (IPS) - Turning the World Downside Up

Each Dollar You Donate Will Strengthen Democracy, Human Rights and a Nuclear-Free World

We – the reporters, editors and management of IPS-Inter Press Service – are requesting a donation in order to help us continue reporting on issues crucial to building informed public opinion as we have been doing for the last 50 years.

In 2014, we celebrated our 50th anniversary, during which we have received kudos from diverse quarters including the United Nations, other international institutions, NGOs, academia, media specialists and independent professional journalists.

IPS works with professional journalists who report on how development issues, human rights, nuclear disarmament, the environment, gender issues and more are affecting the lives of people in Africa, Asia, the Arab world, Latin America and the Caribbean as well as in the countries of Eastern Europe.

What sets apart IPS is that it brings stories from local communities and the victims of inequality in both the developed and developing countries, who are not being heard by those who can make a difference, be they in civil society, governmental organizations or in intergovernmental institutions such as the United Nations.

We believe in the need to amplify the voices of the eight out of ten people in the world, who are usually ignored by the world's media. Our content provides an alternative take on issues of international concern for readers around the world who are tired of mainstream narratives.

Help us to continue turning the world downside up – even if you are not among the richest 85 people across the globe sharing a combined wealth of more than $1.5 trillion or citizen of one of the nine countries that together spend about $300 million a day on nuclear weapons.

Your donation through IPS-Inter Press Service - North America, Inc. – a not-for-profit corporation in the State of New York under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code – will go to support IPS globally.

You can also donate by check, made payable to:

(Please include your email address on your check.)
