This fundraiser helps support a Conservation based youth camp, that helps prepare and protect our future of conservation.

I was able to attend the Wildlife Leadership Academy for a total of three years. The first year I attended I was a student and was not sure what to expect of the camp. The second year I was able to come back as an Assistant Team Leader and the third year I was able to go as an apprentice. I enjoyed all three years and hope to continue to go back and help when I can. The camp is a great opportunity for all youth with an interest in Conservation. The camp I attended focused on Whitetail Deer and was an intensive week. I participated in team building activities, plant collections, necropsy, deer aging and many more fun and exciting activities. I learned a lot in just a week and feel that I also learned how to be a leader. Since the camp I have been able to achieve many of my goals and aspirations. For instance I was able to move up as a Chaplain in my FFA Chapter and later to President. I was also in charge of the Community Service group in my FFA Chapter. I have been able to do many great things since the camp. One of my favorite things to do after attending the camp was outreach. I was required to do at least three outreach activities after completing the camp. I felt with as much time and dedication our instructors put into the camp it was necessary to do many more outreaches than just three. I have done well over 30 different outreach activities. Some of these outreaches included giving speeches on how to age deer and deer management to local sportsman groups. Some other outreaches included seed collections with local forrestors, teaching high school classes on how to age deer, taxidermy projects, and many more exciting activities. I enjoyed the camp and feel I am very fortunate to have been able to attend this camp. It has made me a better conservationist and leader in my community. That is why I feel it is very important to support this organization so that more people like myself can have this great opportunity and experience.
