"Inspiring Possibilities, Realizing Dreams" Capital Campaign

When Miss Laura Baker started her school for "nervous and backward" children in 1896, she had one clear goal: to provide an education and community for the developmentally disabled built on dignity and respect. She bought a large old mansion and later attached a large brick dormitory in 1927. Since then, we have added 3 more cottages to our campus on Oak Street. The dorm is crumbling and aged now, and we are committed to building two replacement cottages that are handicapped accessible, bright, spacious and cheerful.
